What is a Medical Alert with "Daily Welfare Checks"?
This unit has 2 customizable daily alerts that can optionally play an alert tone 2 times a day.
If the user acknowledges that they are OK by pressing a button, the system knows they are OK.
If they do not acknowledge the alert, it will notify others that there may be a problem, and someone needs to check up on them.
If the reminder alert is not turned off within 30 minutes, this unit will begin to call the phone numbers that are programmed in it. This will call and notify the people on the call list that the person using the system has not acknowledged the notification. This could indicate that there is a situation with the monitored person and assistance is needed.
The 'Daily Welfare Check' feature is totally optional and does not have to be set. You control whether this feature is turned on or off and the time the alerts will go off. If this feature is not used the system will still function as a telephone and a medical alert system.

What is a Daily Welfare Check Medical Alert System?
Simply set an alarm in the unit to go off at a certain time each day. This is an optional feature and does not have to be set.
Daily Welfare Check Function -
The unit can be set to alarm at the time you choose 2 times a day.
If the reminder alert is not turned off within 30 minutes, this unit will begin to call the phone numbers that are programmed in it. This will call and notify the people on the call list using a special message that the person using the system has not acknowledged the alarm. This could indicate that there is a situation with the monitored person and assistance is needed.
This is the perfect feature to ensure that someone is active each and every day.
Medical Alert Function -
In the event of an emergency, press the button on the base unit or the button on the wireless remote control pendant. The unit will autodial the pre-programmed emergency contacts.
A pre-recorded personalized message alerts the person who answers that an emergency exists.
Did someone's answering machine or voice mail answer? No Worries. The unit's auto-dialer cycles through the pre-programmed telephone numbers for up to 15 minutes or until a contact responds by pressing the appropriate button on their telephone pad.
Once the call is answered, the called party can activate the unit's speakerphone by pushing specific buttons on their phone. (Friends and family will be able to control the unit from wherever they are.) This will allow loud and clear two-way communication and let the called party listen to or monitor the situation.
Did the power go off? No problem, this unit has a battery back-up (battery, not included).
This unit can be mounted on a desk or wall. The system uses a standard telephone line.
Use every day as a Remote Answering Speakerphone-
If you hear the phone and you are within range, but can’t get to the telephone, simply press the button on the pendant for 1 second to connect to an incoming call and activate its speakerphone.
Note: This convenience feature is particularly useful if you are sitting on a couch, busy doing something else, can’t get to the phone on time and don’t want to miss the call.

No worry, One-touch help-
The greatest worry we all have when a family member needs extra assistance is if they will be able to get to a phone if something happens. With the Medical Alert with Social Safety Monitor and wireless pendant remote, just one push of the alert button and the console starts to make phone calls until someone answers. So, you no longer have to worry if your loved one will be able to get to a phone because they will always have one with them at all times.
Also, your loved one can wear the pendant around their neck or wrist at all times. In a sudden emergency event (fall, heart attack, etc) they can simply push the button and emergency help will be notified immediately!
- Activate a local alarm for 15 seconds to get immediate help within the house. This feature also alerts you that you have activated the system. If you accidentally activated the system, just press the panic button again to de-activate it.
- The system will automatically dial in sequential order the emergency numbers you have specified (up to 30 numbers). You can select as few as 1 emergency number or up to 30 to call when the panic button is pressed.
- Plays a 20 second user recorded emergency message over and over again while calling each number. This ensures that the receiver of the call will hear the message regardless of when they answer.
- If the other party receives the call and presses '0', a 2 minute speakerphone conversation starts. This 2 minute talk time can be extended for 2 minutes over and over again as long as you want to talk.
- The receiving party of the call can press 1 then 9 to immediately end the conversation and your phone line will be instantly available for an incoming call.
- Panic button remote feature. Pressing the panic button will activate the alert even if the handset if off the hook.
- Waterproof panic button. You can shower or take a bath with the panic button.

name' when they call you.

Q. Does the system call your company when help is needed?
A. No. This system is designed to not need a monitoring company and to not have to pay a monthly fee. The system will call your most trusted family members and friends or 911. People that are close by many be able to respond quicker.
Q. What if I have a situation where I cannot speak?
A. This system has the answer. You record a message into the unit. When the system is activated, it then plays the recorded message to the person receiving the call letting them know you have an emergency. It speaks for you!
Q. What happens if the alert if just a false alarm, do you charge a fee?
A. Absolutely not. There are no false alarm fees, ever! There are no fees of any kind to use this system. When the system calls you can listen in to what is going on to see if help is needed or if the remote just got bumped.
Q. What if no one answers the phone when the Unit calls?
A. The unit will continue to call over-and-over until someone answers it. If you miss the first call, it will call you again after it tries the other phone numbers until someone responds.

Q. What if I only have a cell phone, can I still use this to call for help?
A. Yes, you can take a bath with the panic button and submerge it under water.
Q. How long should the panic button battery last?
A. Since the battery is only used when the panic button is pressed the battery should last about 2 years.
Q. Can I activate the alert from the phone console instead of the panic button?
A. Yes, there is an SOS button on the phone base that works just like pressing the panic button. There is also a 911 button on the phone base that will call 911 directly (this button can be deactivated or changed to a number other than 911).
Q. If my neighbor has the same system will they interfere with each other?
A. No. each panic button is specially coded and will not interfere with another panic button even if they are in the same room.
Q. How would I know if the panic button battery needs to be replaced?
A. There is a small red light on the panic button; it will flash if the battery needs to be replaced.
Q. What happens if I forget and leave the handset off the hook?
A. You can still press the panic button and call for help and you can still receive incoming calls.
Q. What happens if the power goes out, can I still use this system to call for help?
A. The system is AC-powered with battery backup. Non-volatile memory. With the backup battery in place, even if the power goes out the system will not lose the programming and will still operate and call for help if activated.
This system will not be fooled by answering machines!
How does it work?
When a pendant is pressed the system dials the first number that is programmed into it. The system then waits to 'hear' a key to be pressed on the other end of the line. This tells the system that a human answered the call. If the systems hears a key pressed it will stop calling numbers and turn on the speakerphone. If the system does not hear a key pressed it will hang up and call the next number in sequence. We suggest that you have 911 programmed at the end of the call list to ensure that someone is contacted in the event of an emergency.

I put my home phone in first and then my cell. If I don't answer one of these, the phone dials 911. I know it works because she accidentally pushed the button. My mother has used this device for over 2 years now and it works great. She has used it to contact family members if she falls and has called 911 with it as well. We have had a problem with it a couple times, only because she had mistakenly pushed a wrong button on the phone, but we called the company and they were able to walk us through the problem. I would recommend this device.
