Comments:"I am a senior citizen of almost 80 years old. I am also DEAF. And being deaf I stopped using telephone. My wife of 60 years plus and my youngest daughter live with me and when they are at home and the phone rings one of them answers the phone. However when I am home by myself and if the phone should ring--being deaf I did not hear it ringing therefore a lot of phone calls went unanswered. Then I heard of CaptionCall which is a phone with closed caption on a very large screen that you can read what the person calling is saying. The phone looks just like a regular phone but is is not--IT IS A LIFE SAVER FOR A PERSON HARD OF HEARING OR DEAF. When a call comes in the phone lights up so you know it is ringing--there will be a message on the phone to show you who is calling plus date and time of call. When I answer the phone the closed caption starts and I can read what the person who is calling is saying but they can hear me speaking so they do not have to have any special phone. The only requirement for this phone to work is you still need a land line phone service plus high speed internet. And the best part is ALL OF THIS SERVICE IS FREE including the FREE PHONE ..... Not one penny more. And the installation of phone is very, very easy to do. You do not have to be a genius to install the CaptionCall phone but should you run into a problem CaptionCall has a toll free number to call and their tech will lead you step by step and there is NO CHARGE for that service.
