It is called 'wireless' but is still plugged into the electricity, what is that?

Some intercom systems require dedicated wiring between intercom units. This system uses the wiring in your home to send the signal from monitor to monitor. No need to run special wires. You can move this system from room to room any time you need to.

By using your existing wiring in your home or office the signal range is improved and provides the ability to talk to someone up to 1000 feet away.

HOW IT WORKS:

- Press Call to page another room.

- Press Talk to converse.

- Press Lock for continual monitoring.

- Expandable up to 4 more units. (Please note: if you have more than two units, every unit will participate in the same signal broadcast, unless they are on different channels. This means that there will be no privacy, as every unit will broadcast the conversation.)

The wireless intercom is based upon signals sent through the electric wiring (they must be on the same circuit panel). Room additions sometimes are not on the same electric circuit panel or the panel might be divided and the unit may not perform as expected.

May not be compatible with all GFI (grounded) outlets.

You cannot use the wireless intercom to connect neighboring houses and/or apartments.
